Rory Dawson is the proud owner of a repo business. She also has a father with a serious drinking problem. When Pop lands in jail--again--no way does she have the ten grand for his bail.
Enter Kane Williams, a mid-level bank executive who'd like nothing more than to trade in his business suits for jeans and a t-shirt. His dream is to build custom furniture, but he's under pressure from his domineering grandfather, to succeed--and succeed big.
Thrown together over a mix-up concerning a friend's repossessed Corvette, Kane hatches a plan: he'll pay Pop's bail if Rory pretends to be his girlfriend for a looming bank promotion. Although she has qualms about not being refined enough to pull off the charade, Rory agrees. She knows there's no other choice if she wants to get--and keep--Pop out of jail.
Rory and Kane soon learn that despite their polar opposite backgrounds, they really aren't all that different. Through trial and pain, they battle to have the love of a lifetime.

I have no doubt that I'm a born storyteller.
I remember telling my first "story" in kindergarten. I informed my teacher, Mrs. Downing, that my mom had just had a baby boy. She hadn't, of course, and while I got thoroughly admonished for my "storytelling," I wasn't deterred from what would become a lifelong passion.
From made-up tales centering around my favorite TV shows as a kid to today, I love telling stories! Stories with handsome guys and spunky gals, that always...always ended with a happily-ever-after.
